Romancing twilight in Siquijor

This is my version of twilight.

I must say this photo best describes the word dusk, twilight, nightfall, vespers, etc. the English language has. In Filipino we call this takipsilim, sirum, etc. our culture is so rich with stories involving twilights, your grandmothers and grandfathers are living repositories and endless sources of those, and please don't ask my daughter she'll definitely tell you same as what Google has to say about twilight.

Siquijor Island is blessed to be situated in an auspicious geography where sunsets and sunrises are seen in more than usually cinematic er dramatic way and one of those is this. This was taken atop Infinity Heights Resort, an excessively gorgeous mountain top resort in Pili, Siquijor.

The mountain silhouette in the background is the island of Negros Oriental, you can see Dumaguete City and its faint lights flicker from this vantage point.

  5. Great photo. Weakness ko talaga ang sunset and sunrise photos. Can't help it but smile, kasi di ba Syquijor is known for paranormal things. Hindi kaya nakakatakot ang takipsilim dyan. Just kidding.
